Imphal, October 5, 2023 (DIPR): Home Department, Government of Manipur vide letter no. H-2002/20/2023-HD-HD dated 29th September, 2023 has informed that as per direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 17-08-2018 and dated 24-09-2018 passed in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 754 of 2016 (TehseenS.Poonawalla-versus-Union of India &Ors), the following may be informed to the general public,“Lynching and Mob Violence of any kind shall invite serious consequence under the Law”.
