THOUBAL, FEBRUARY 24, 2023(DIO): "Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) was successfully organised by the District Administration Thoubal today at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner's Office
Complex for the month of February. As done in the proceeding months, Shri A. Subhash Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal along with District Level Officers' heard various grievances and demands of the public.
Deputy Commissioner handed over, 28 (twenty eight) cards for caregiver allowance to persons with disabilities with high support needs under Chief Minister-gi Shotharabasingi Tengbang (CMST). The scheme contains 5 (five) sub-schemes including Care Giver Scheme wherein, people with 80% or more disability will get Rs 1500/- per month. 10 beneficiaries were handed CMHT cards and Science Lab Materials under Samagra Shiksha scheme were also handed over to the Headmaster/Headmistress of Tekcham Girls Upper Primary School, Athokpam Junior High School and Kangasenbi Upper Primary School.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner said 186 ( one hundred eighty six) applicants today submitted their various grievances. He said the programme has brought hope amongst the people in the district that the government is continuously working for the welfare of the people. The care giver allowance to disable with high support under CMST is for the welfare and development of disable people living in the state. He expressed happiness that large number of people continue to turn up every month to take benefit of various government schemes. The Deputy Commissioner further said that the science lab materials distributed today under the
Samagra Shiksha scheme will facilitate scientific studies of the students and expand their horizon of learning.
He said the District Administration is committed to solve various problems and grievances of the public at the earliest in collaboration with the concern departments. He said most of the grievances are related to old age pension schemes, CMHT cards and other schemes. Smt Chandrasakhi from Leisangthem Thoubal who received her CMHT card today said that she had applied for the scheme two weeks back and expressed happiness at the speedy process done by theapplies concern officials.
Twenty one (21) stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary,Agriculture and Fishery.
In today's Meeyamgi Numit", SP Thoubal Shri Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS, ADM Shri B.B.Lokeshor Sharma, CMO Thoubal, Dr.Y.Nokul,all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District level Officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.
